At what price level would you step in and buy some GE?

Some will disagree, but for me, as long as Jeffrey Immelt - a guy who thinks it's perfectly fine to deal with terrorist nations like Iran - is running the company, I'd never buy GE. The stock can go to $1,000 for all I care. I'd never own shares in a company that is run by a guy without morals or ethics. Sooner or later, it'll reflect in the company's financials.

GE in not a good buy as it is into too many sectors which are expected to underperform and it has huge debts.

While I tend to agree with SENSE, what it points out is that our SYSTEM is morally bankrupt and if we applied those standards to ALL companies, then a good portion of our blue chip stocks would be off limits. I think it is fair to say that it would apply to ALL of the companies now seeking government (read taxpayer) bailouts.
I disagree with PRUDENT however, outside of their troubled financial division (surprise) they are actually well positioned to benefit from the misnamed stimulus program favoured by President Obama (I call it a DEBT CREATION package) but when millions are injected into infrastructure and alternative energy projects GE could do quite well.

i would go at 11-10, Why? CEO J. Immelt is on Obama's Economic Recovery Board. Guess who will get the no-bid contracts when the cap-and-tax and health-care 'reform' bills pass?

Well we just had a few distribution days which could possibly mean a correction coming, so if the market does correct 15- 20% you should probably buy it in the $11.00 range give or take, I would NOT buy this stock right now, its pretty high above its 200dayMA so its seems that it could pull back some if the market corrects. If the market does not correct maybe you get in at $14.00 or so , just try not to buy to high, this stock follows the market and pretty much is a market all in it self, lol good luck to you man
