It appears that M$ is going to try retail again. As most reviews of this idea agree with me, it isn't a very good idea. That said, the only way for them to have a possibility is to use it is as an Xbox outlet, with Zune and mobile applications. If they push Vista, they might as well give away money. The thing they risk is their distribution channel, which would not appreciate having the supplier as a competitor.
