It is too early to predict. We can get some direction in the currency market towards end of this year.

There are baskets of currencies still will go down despite last weed rise in some currencies. Most economies are very weak and they have they have deflationary environment.

Still other countries as well as investors consider US Dollar as a world reserve currency.

In the short term to medium term there will be some volatility in the market. However I think some currencies will stabilize towards end of 2010.

Some Asian currency will appreciate in the 2nd half of this year. Dollar will go down against these currencies.

I have to agree with MNSL, too early to tell. There will be some volatility and while I suspec that the dollar will loose value at some point due to the over-printing that is going on, it is hard to say when it will actually happen or how bad it will decline.

I dont know about a collapse, but certainly it will be damaged by inflation. You don't inject almost 1.5 Trillion dollars into the economy and not have it be inflationary. I think within 18 months we will have Carteressqe inflation. Then the dollar will lose its value.
