Reasons for US Dollar and Yen strengthening against other currencies again?

My guess it would be because we're 2 of the largest economies on the planet and the perception of safety is causing a flight to "perceived" quality at the moment. Sooner or later folks will realize that the US is in for a rocky recovery and the dollar is still gonna take a hit.
