I bought 5000 shares of AIG stock at .40 a share. Sell or hold? If hold, how long?

I'd personally stay away from all of the financials right now, especially a company like AIG. Granted, they're probably "too big to fail" - meaning, the government will continue to bail them out - but if you're not able to put a fair value on the stock then it's not worth putting me into it in the first place.
