Here's an alternative to what you are looking for. Using a screener at Marketwatch.com I found 3 stocks worth checking out. For the last 6 months they have been trading flat, but in a nice trading range, which means if you buy on the dips you will profit when they go back up. They are low price- less than $1 right now, but they have extremely high volume, in the millions per day, (which makes them hard to manipulate), and two of them 2 of the 3 I'm referring to are not going to go out of business. The US government will bail them out no matter what. I'm talking of < FNM >, and < FRE >. The 3rd stock I don't recognize the name, < SPSN >

Stay away from stocks like that. I've seen a lot of folks here asking about penny stocks but let tell everybody: penny stocks are VERY dangerous! They're open to manipulation and many don't have the same oversight/accountability as regular publicly traded companies - especially companies that trade on the OTC market/pink sheets. Stay away from those like the plague!

There are plenty of higher priced stocks that are bargains and won't expose you to nearly as much risk as these other companies.

Penny stocks are nothing more than gambling. I'd stay away from them. What are you going to do if the volume dries up, and you are trying to sell?

Right now the bid - asked is 0.02 - 0.10. That should tell you that it will be impossible for you to successfully trade this obviously manipulated stock. The Q on the end of the symbol is the next warning sign of a stock with financial reporting problems.

The market makers are the only ones that can profit easily from this type of situation. AVOID!!!
