Goldman Sachs is certainly one of the stronger financial services companies that have been left standing. Throughout this entire debacle the company has managed to hang tough and do better than most. Reason being, GS has always had strong internal risk controls. So for a short term trade, I'd DEFINITELY tell you to stay away from any financial services companies, but for a long term (multi-year) holding period, Goldman doesn't sound like a bad bet at all.
