Thoughts on the market this week? Up? Down? Sideways?

Most probably market will go up. There will be demand for selected stocks including few financial stocks. However investors should be carful in selecting sectors and regions.

I think global markets including emerging markets will have one of the best bullish trends in the next 03 weeks. There will be volatility as well. Some markets will appreciate very rapidly. Intelligent investors be selective in buying.

Some Asian currencies such as Korea Won, Indian rupee will appreciate against dollar. In the mean time US Dollar will appreciate rapidly against basket of currencies in the next 05 weeks.

Some sectors will not make any improvement in turnover and profits due to depressed demand and prices for their products and services until economy and job prospects improve. By 2011 unemployment rate will go up by more than 12% in some countries
