Major market news including takeover offers, mineral resource finds, major financing, insider buys or sells, any number of significant news for a company will be quickly reflected in people posting buy or sell orders after the markets have closed in anticipation of being first in line when the markets open the next day.

I have not researched LJPC specifically to see WHAT might have triggered the rise in price but you should be able to determine that yourself if you follow all the stock links provided.
