There probably is some sort of web classes you could take over the Internet. My advice find some books on day trading and what it takes to be successful in day trading, there is a book called day trading for dummies, this book can give you a good perspective on day trading. Its a good place to start. Read as much as you possibly can it will pay off. Being a day trader myself i can tell you it takes alot of discipline, admitting when your wrong in a trade and get out before your loss turns into something that breaks the bank, don't second guess your self and sometimes it can be just stressful but can be very rewarding if done with rules and discipline.
There are many different kinds of day trading, momentum trader, scalper, range trader, and more. Just go read some books on the subject and do some paper trades when you have more knowledge on day trading. Its very important that you know as much as you can to day trade because about 75% to 90% of day traders lose there money within a year. I don't want that for anyone who trade because trading is a great thing, so read read read and read some more. good luck to you sting!
Hope i didn't scare you from wanting to day trade, Just telling the truth......

Exactly, knowledge is power when it comes to any subject, and with trading any type of equities with any style of trading this is definitely the case, as is deciding on a style that you are comfortable with and sticking with it (as a lack of discipline is the downfall of most investors of any type or style).

MONEYTREE gave some good advise. Before day trading I would recommend swing trading first, where you buy and then sell several days later catching the stock, etf, whatever on the swing. Also, be aware that brokerage fees and commissions can add up for day trading because there will be more trading. Plus your brokerage firm will require a minimum amount to be in your account to day trade. Day trading should only be attempted by the experienced trader/investor.
