is the volume shown as traded on a particular day the actual volume

i have been asked to buy shares in iTracker symbol ITKR - it shows a trading volume in the low hundreds - i am being told this is to be multiplied upwards by 1000, so that a volume of 100 actually means 100,000. This doesnt ring true to me as other shares are listed as having volumes in the tens of thousands - can anyone comment please. Am i being fed a line?
Thank you

The volume shown for that day is the actual volume , this stock ITKR the last two trading days is showing only 500 shares each day. And yes you are being fed a line.... good luck!
