What Will Your Home Be Worth in 2017?

Deutsche Bank analyst Richard Parkus was quoted in Forbes magazine this week, saying that the residential real estate market won't see a turnaround in values until 2012, and won't return to their 2007 peaks until at least 2017.

My opinion: It is very difficult to forecast and there are positive factors as well as negative factors. It all depends on the following factors:

Unemployment rate
Recovery in the global economy
Interest rate
Speculators, First home buyers and investors
Some other factors depend on where you live
Action of baby boomers and demographic changes
Liquidity (In other words ability to take 100% credit)

Finally, some people will lose and some people will benefit during next 5 years.
