Is this what you are looking for? I found a link that shows the Baltic Dry Index and desciption. It can only be traded by member companies. Scroll down to where it says " What the Index Means To Investors" Second paraghraph. http://www.wikinvest.com/index/Baltic_Dry_Index_-_BDI_(BALDRY)
