Why is this such a lousy stock?
The only constant is Dunes consistant ability to lose thier ass quarter after quarter, year after year. If this company was a person belts would be of no use to them due to not having any ass left to hold the belt up. For every 1000 in revenue they produce 2000 in expenses sorta like GM, likewise thier strategy to make up those losses in volume also seems to be modeled after the GM strategy. If $150 a barrel oil and $8-10 Natural gas prices can't put them over the hump then maybe peak oil, shrewd hoarding and market timing will set them up as the last company on earth with any oil. They could leverage this position into a -.10 to -.12 cents eps final quarter finale maybe. This would allow them to cobble together enough cash to pay down LT debts 3-4% so shareholders would owe a $2,000 in debts per share owned until the 3 parts revenue 4 parts expense ratio kicked into gear again and another few mil in Senior notes could ensure any profits be gobbled up paying old farts interest.
