According to their most recent quarterly financial report, they owe creditors 22 billion dollars, their cash balance was less than a billion dollars (992 M).

Add the net value of assets, the various business accounts and value of goodwill. The total sum available to the creditors, who are the first on line to be paid first would be about a dime or less on the dollar. There seems to be no room for the equity holder (stock holder).

That's why investors run away from highly leveraged companies such as retailers, furniture stores, because when the credit market dries up, they will be the first victims. But if there are signs that they would survive and the tone of the general market is positive, they jump back to buy the stock. That's why we saw La-Z-Boy went up more than 200% in the last 6 months.

It's fairly clear that the final dissolution of the corp would have nothing for shareholder.
